University Mohammed VI Polytechnic offers a four-year doctoral program that consists of :

  • Pre-doc year : to equip students with necessary tools to start their research journey.
  • 3 years PhD program: where students dive into their research thesis while enhancing their disciplinary knowledge, improving their methodological skills, acquiring transversal skills, and integrating them into national and/or international academic communities.

UM6P International Doctoral Program

The UM6P international doctoral program provides support for bright students who aspire to pursue an academic career. Through the program, students receive mentoring, scientific assistance, and a scholarship. The primary objective of this program is to aid Moroccan students in successfully completing their doctoral studies and help them establish themselves as prominent figures in their field of study.

UM6P EPFL 100 PhDs program

The "100 PhDs for Africa" program is a key component of the joint Excellence in Africa initiative between UM6P and EPFL. Its goal is to provide financial support for science and engineering graduates who are interested in pursuing a PhD degree at an African academic institution. By funding these students, the program hopes to promote academic excellence and scientific research in Africa.

Main eligibility criteria:

  • Be a national of an African country
  • Be in possession of a master's degree awarded after January 1, 2020 or be enrolled in the final year of a master's program
  • Have an excellent academic record
  • Candidates must be engaged in an African academic institution and reside in an African country for the duration of the PhD
  • Have the support of a professor at the host institution willing to supervise the PhD for its duration

PASET-RSIF

Program progress Picture

PASET, launched in 2013, aims to strengthen scientific and technological skills in Africa by bringing together African countries, partners, and investors such as China, India, and Korea. It aims to close the gap between public and private sectors and increase capacity for relevant knowledge acquisition. The World Bank has signed an MoU with University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, making it the first African university to join PASET and its RSIF. UM6P is now an international partner of PASET.
